EOI for Practice Canine Fitness Clients – Round 2

Leading up to the completion of my CPCFT Certification, I am currently looking for further practice clients to participate in a 6 session fitness program with their dog.  This time round I am specifically looking for pet dogs who are not involved in dog sports.   The requirement for eligibility is that the dog must be free from any injuries or illnesses and the owner must be committed to complete the six sessions.

This would entail a block of 6 sessions, each session will be  two weeks apart to give you time to practice the exercises you will be shown each fortnight.  The initial session will take around an hour and a half then after that the remaining sessions will be approximately 60 minutes long.

There will be no charge for this block of 6 sessions as you will be helping me put into practice what I have learnt during my course.

Closing date for applications will be Friday 14th June 2024

Do you have a young dog who needs to build confidence in the world around them, a dog who could loose a few kilos, an older dog who you would like to keep strong and healthy leading into their senior years, or simply would like to have some fun while bonding with your dog.

As well as creating a strong and stable body for your dog to go about their daily lives, canine fitness can also help with:-

  • Building confidence in puppies, nervous or anxious dogs

  • Create a better bond with the owner

  • Teach your dog to learn new concepts

  • Provide enrichment

  • Assist in weight loss

If you are interested in helping and would like to increase the fitness and wellbeing of your dog please complete the application form below.

Once I have made a selection of the dogs I would like to work with, you will be notified if you are successful.

Arthritis & Joint Mobility Issues in Dogs

Arthritis comes on in many ways, but the most common cause is the wear and tear the joints undergo over the years: they simply wear out. Veterinarians sometimes refer to it as Arthritis, Osteoarthritis (OA) or Degenerative Joint Disease (DJD).
